I had been wanting to go in and try Tea for Two since I saw the sign in passing. My husband and I went today. Our server Maddie, I believe was so nice. My husband got the sweet tea and roast beef sandwich and I got the cucumber sandwich and peach hot tea. We both chose the fruit as our side. The fruit was extremely fresh and sweet. Both sandwiches were served on white bread. His sweet tea wasn't the usual NC southern sweet tea. He said it was pretty weak, had lemon in it and wasn't sweet according to his taste. My peach tea (they had 4 teas of the day), was light and needed to really steep for quite awhile. They were gracious The shop is extremely cute and well decorated, with enough space for one large table that appeared to seat 10 or so, and perhaps 3 or 4 other tables. View their daily menu on Facebook. I was torn between the cucumber sandwich or the turkey. I have to agree with other reviewers that the portions are small. It was fine for a light lunch, and then we still had room to get a sweet item each. He chose the Atlantic Pie - warning it is extremely tart. It has lemon juice from 3 lemons and lime juice. He said it was too lemony which he hadn't thought possible before today. I chose the salted caramel chocolate pretzel bar. It was delicious. Moist and a pretty big piece. I usually don't like sweet and salty together, but was glad I chose this. Overall, the charming setting, relaxing atmosphere and uniqueness make this a solid recommendation from me. I think having more information or a menu that includes details about everything would have guided us to make a few different choices. I love having high tea. I am looking forward to it on our upcoming cruise. In the meantime, this is a nice alternative.

A charming little tea house. I've had their quiche and it was so good. My friend is especially fond of their macarons and quiche. It seems like it would be a cute place for a nice little tea party for a birthday or special occasion.

So we went here for my birthday "tea" and it went exactly how that sounds. If you're not familiar with a "tea time", everything is small - from the shop, the bathroom, the food and the teas you drink. Best word to describe it overall? Quaint. Don't get me wrong, this place apparently stays in business because it's just that and does a tremendous job of doing specialty parties, high teas and special occasions (Tea for Two also caters I think). We had the chicken salad croissant with fresh fruit and the pimento cheese, bacon and tomato sandwich with pickled beets. All of it delicious. Just small portions. There are no menus, which is a negative for me. The waitress just reads off the menu items from her book and you pick. We had to ask her to read them twice. Again, this is truly a brunch spot (after you've had a light breakfast earlier in the morning or for an afternoon tea when you've had a light lunch.) But? Their desserts cabinet was amazing! They had everything from strawberry pies to peanut butter chocolate brownies to cream filled cookies in that thing! They had more desserts than lunch menu items! And they were goooood. Again, nothing is labeled in the dessert case and you have to ask the waitress to tell you what's what, and AGAIN, do it twice. This place really needs a paper menu for lunch sandwiches and drinks and especially labels in the dessert case. This is why I gave the service a three. We spent $45 for three sandwiches with three sides, three teas and two large desserts, not including tip. Even if you stop for just a dessert, you cannot go wrong here! A side note... There is only street parking, which is free, but keep this in mind.

This place is a true gem to enjoy a specialty tea and great food. Angela was so accommodating for my daughter who is gluten free. The themed tea was fun and creative.
